Seasonal Eating: Fall Guide
Happy Fall! The weather is cooling off and that crisp fall smell is in the air. You may start to notice your cravings start to change along with the temperatures. I’m gravitating towards warming foods like roast sweet potatoes and soups. As we get into harvest time there are some great foods coming into season to match what your body is wanting...almost like nature intended it that way!
If you are curious about why seasonal eating is a great option, go check out my June guide here.
Here is what you can find in season September through October:
+ Brussels Sprouts
+ Green Beans
+ Sweet potato
+ Winter Squash
*This list is for the mid-atlantic US region where I live. What's in season varies from region to region. The best place to see what’s in season in your area is to go to your local farmers market and check out what’s there!
Here’s some recipe inspiration for seasonal cooking this Fall!
+ Date Sweetened Apple Pie Oatmeal from Minimalist Baker
